Why did we add the Widget?
Widgets are an important characteristic of home screen customization. They represent a summarized version of what the app contains on its most important data and functionality that is accessible right from the user’s home screen. Users can move widgets across their home screen and customize it to their own preferences.
So what is the real benefit of having an app Widget?
The modern technology is designing its features to facilitate and optimize the user’s behavior on their devices. Widgets represent an important component that aims to serve this objective. Below, are the main 4 benefits that a user will gain from using widgets;

Many of Ummah users on iOS have asked for the Widget! Finally we have added it for you. There are two widget extensions, one that shows today’s prayer times and one that shows the time remaining for the next prayer. Follow these steps to enable it on your phone:
- Go to the left screen from the main view on your phone.
- Scroll down and click the “Edit” button.
- Find Ummah App icon and click on the green + button.
