Ummah is constantly bringing new things that meet the needs of Muslims and make our application even more complete. One such is the addition of the calendar which in addition to the Gregorian way of calculating the year, will also have the hijri lunar calendar according to Islamic rulings.

What is the calendar for?

  • To get notified on the most important Islamic events
  • To commemorate an important event and draw lessons from it
  • To be prepared for an important season of worship
  • To see the time remaining until a specific event
  • To fast the white days

Users have the opportunity to view the major Islamic events in the calendar within the Ummah app, as well as the time and number of days left until a particular event of importance. This helps believers to be prepared and focused on the importance of a season of worship, an important historical event to be commemorated, and lessons to be learned from it or certain Islamic holidays.

Another voluntary worship that many believers want to perform but miss out the exact time is the fasting of the white days, 13th, 14th, and 15th day of each month when the moon is full according to the Hijri lunar calendar. The Prophetic sayings advise us that fasting is preferred during these days.

Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم

Fasting three days of each month is fasting for a lifetime.” (An-Nasâi)

Therefore, believers who want to fast the white days according to the lunar month, now will find it easier to manage this part by focusing and looking at the calendar and plan the days that they will fast.

Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“O Abu Dharr! When you fast three days out of a month, then fast the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth.” (At-Tirmidhî and An-Nasâi)

Don’t let any important event escape you! Use the Ummah calendar to learn about important events, worship seasons, holidays or white days if you want to fast them.
